Now that you have an idea of what style of custom patch you want to order, you may want to know how to attach it to an article of clothing so you can relay the information to the people you give your gifts to. Attaching embroidered or woven patches is a lot easier than it looks. In fact, we offer a number of backing styles to meet your needs. This ensures that you receive an item that is easy to wear and enjoy.

Among our most popular backing styles is Heat Seal or Iron On backings, Peel and Stick backings, and Velcro backings. Each is applied in a different manner. Here are the details needed to make a decision on which style of backing will work best for you:

  • Heat and Seal or Iron On. Heat Seal backing (Iron On) that can be applied to any item of cloth that will with stand heat of 150 degrees for a total of 10-15 seconds.

  • Peel and Stick. Peel and Stick backing allows you to stick your patch, logo or design to any type of surface. (i.e. cloth, metal, glass, plastic and even wood.)

  • Velcro. Velcro backing is great for the person that wears many patches and laundries their clothing daily. The Velcro back can be removed and re applied any time you need to.

Not every type of backing is fitting for the occasion. Some of our customers want the flexibility of removing their patches from clothing before laundering it. Others want to wear their patches on a number of different garments. That’s where Velcro backing comes in. It offers flexibility as well as durability.
